What comes next

Roadmap.

Awernica is built around the full life of a security installation: what is installed, what it needs, and what comes next. Here is what we are working on. Plans can change, and your feedback shapes the order.

Roadmap

Workspace tools

Bulk Device Editor

In development

Edit many cameras and devices at once.

  • Set one value for all selected devices, such as server, placement, install date or lifecycle.
  • Apply patterns: sequential names like CAM-001, search and replace, and IP renumbering that skips addresses already in use.
  • Spreadsheet mode: paste a column straight from Excel.

Every change is previewed and checked before it is saved, and it is saved as a single all-or-nothing change.

3D Interactive FoV

In development

See a camera's field of view in 3D. Set mounting height, tilt and zoom, and watch DORI zones (Identify, Recognize, Observe, Detect) appear on the ground, together with the blind spot below the camera and the IR range at night. Move a person through the scene to see how many pixels they get.

  • Find the right angle: tell it what you need, for example "Identify at 10 m", and it suggests a height and tilt, or tells you the camera cannot do it.
  • Compare cameras: put up to four cameras side by side.
  • Export: save the scene as an image for your proposal.

Site Report

In development

Start a report when you arrive on site. Everything you do in Awernica is recorded while the report is running: devices added or replaced, IP addresses, firmware, software versions, plans and reviews.

When you finish, Awernica produces a complete report of the installation and the work done, with your own logo, as PDF or CSV. You do not need your own documentation templates.

End User Verification

In development

Let the customer confirm their installation. Send the site to the end user by email.

With a link and a separate access code, they see the full site, read-only, and confirm that the information is correct and may be stored. You get a documented confirmation and a Confirmed by end user badge on the site. Any later changes are shown clearly.

Operations View

In development

A calm, full-width layout for the whole workspace, built for people who manage many sites.

You get a fixed side menu, no visual noise, and an overview across all your sites: lifecycle, firmware, vulnerabilities, open tasks and planned replacements with estimated cost per quarter.

Multi-User Workspace

Planned

Work as a team in one workspace. The owner invites admins who create and run their own sites, and viewers who follow along without making changes.

Members work on the owner's plan and tools, and two-factor authentication is required. Built for organisations with sites spread across a region.

Multi-Camera Coverage

Planned

Place your installed cameras on a site plan and see their coverage together, with DORI zones, overlaps and gaps in the area you need covered.

Show the cameras you have planned next to the existing ones, and see what happens to coverage before and after a replacement. It is built on the cameras already registered in Awernica, from every manufacturer in the catalog.

Roadmap

More than video

Access Control

Planned

Add complete access control systems to your sites, however large: controllers, door modules, readers, locks, I/O and power supplies. Awernica keeps track of every component, its firmware, its lifecycle and its known hardware vulnerabilities.

Automatic block diagram. Awernica builds a clear block diagram of the whole system from what you have registered: how controllers, doors and readers connect, and where each part sits. Export it and use it for documentation, handover and maintenance outside Awernica as well. Public data on access control hardware is limited, so a complete, always up-to-date diagram of your own system is where Awernica makes the biggest difference.

Intrusion

Planned

The same support for intrusion systems: panels, keypads, expanders, detectors and communicators.

You get full component overview, firmware, lifecycle and hardware vulnerabilities, and an automatically generated block diagram of the system for documentation and maintenance.

Intercom

Planned

Intercom is becoming more and more like video, so it gets the same full support as cameras:

  • products in the catalog, with specifications,
  • firmware, lifecycle and replacement recommendations,
  • vulnerability alerts,
  • the same tools you already use for cameras.

Perimeter

Planned

Support for perimeter protection, including fence detection, radar and other outdoor sensors. It is prepared for coming drone-based systems.

Perimeter devices are registered, documented and monitored for lifecycle and vulnerabilities, just like the rest of the site.
