Genetec Security Center is built on a scalable, distributed client-server architecture designed for enterprise security operations. The platform supports on-premises and hybrid deployments, with selected cloud-hosted infrastructure options. Security Center SaaS is offered separately as a cloud-native security solution. Security Center Federation enables organizations to centrally monitor and manage multiple independent Security Center systems across geographically distributed sites while maintaining local system autonomy. High-availability capabilities include server role redundancy, supported database failover configurations and automatic failover for critical services. These capabilities depend on the deployed architecture, software edition, licensing and infrastructure configuration. The platform supports distributed video recording, access control, automatic license plate recognition and communications services across multiple servers and locations.
